Now and for the last several years, Sherman Heights remains one of the safest areas in the city, right up (or down) there with Torrey Highlands, and it is directly adjacent downtown. This whole thread is pretty ridiculous-a couple of outlying events doesn’t change the extremely low crime rate and gang activity of the city. Honestly what one can derive from much of this data that where there are a lot of commercial establishments crime rates will spike in comparison to residential only areas.
